A bathroom drain can be a headache especially if it clogs. The bathroom has a number of drains which are the bathroom sink drain, bathtub drain and the toilet drain. There are washing chemicals that can be bought in stores to clean the bathroom drain and avoid it from clogging. It is also important to clean a bathroom drain as it can tend to smell and make your showers unbearable.
The bathroom drain is covered with a sink stopper which has to be removed if you want to completely clean the drain. It is cheap efficient and reliable and every one in our house holds today uses it. The best way on how to unclog a bathroom drain using a plunger is to first place a piece of damp cloth on the drain this will allow a strong vacuum to be created and this will make the clog loose. Then place the plunger on the centre of the clogged drain. Make sure that there is enough water on the clogged drain to cover up the clogged drain and the base of where the plunger is. The next step is to douse the plunger up and down which will in turn add pressure on the drain. Once the drain has unblocked the water will automatically go down the drain.
You also need drain cleaners in your bathroom if you want to have a clean and germ free bathroom drain. Chemicals are good for ones in a while cleaning of the bathroom drain, but if over used they tend to etch and damage the sink and bath tub surfaces. Drain cleaners used should be mild and it is important to read or check out the label’s before buying and using them.
